We also go snowshoeing through paths located around our house.  Often, while snowshoeing, we encounter footprints of deer and other animals including the occasional bear! In the spring my family and I produce maple syrup by gathering sap from maple trees and boiling it to produce maple syrup.  During the summer we hike on trails throughout the woods and also bike around the area.  My mom and I enjoy going to the lake in the summer to swim and kayak.

In the fall we like to share our love for Halloween with all of our friends, family and neighbors.  We host a Halloween party and decorate a path in our woods.  Often the displays are very silly and not scary at all.  My uncle and I work on projects throughout the year for the party.  This year we had a guillotine with a moving blade.  Everyone comes with food and gathers around a bon fire.  It is a great way to spend time with friends outside and have a lot of fun. 

I'm currently a sophomore at Brattleboro Union High School.  This semester I'm taking Biology, the Interactive Mathmatics Program Three, Intermediate Spanish and AACE.  My high school is currently under construction and will hopefully be finished in several years.  My favorite classes are social studies and English.  After school I partake in several extracurricular activities.  I'm involved in the class council, yearbook, and I'm the school board representative for student council. I also help make costumes for our school musical every year. This year the musical is The Children of Eden. 

A majority of my time is devoted to figure skating.  I skate year round, five days a week for two hours a day in Greenfield, Springfield and Westfield, Massachusetts.  I enjoy working on jumps and spins for competitions and tests.  This year I started teaching basic skill skaters how to skate.  I also have two of my own private students. 

In my spare time I enjoy to read, hike, bike, kayak, spend time with my friends and family and travel.
